An ancient rock lies on the southeastern surface of Al Naslaa Rock located in the desert of Tayma Oasis Saudi Arabia This mysterious ancient rock is split into two halves and rests on a double-sided rock base. Al Naslaa Rock a large sandstone rock formation located in the desert south of Tayma Oasis Saudi Arabia is notable for its perfect splitting as if laser-cut It stands approximately 6 meters high and 9 meters wide perfectly balanced over hundreds of years The central cleavage appears to be a perfectly rifted slit a highly complete fracture To the naked eye the rift divides the rock into two equal halves

It is generally believed to have been formed by wind erosion and chemical weathering and possibly by chemical processes possibly caused by moisture within the rock Furthermore the rock sits on a fault and the splitting occurred when the ground beneath the rock moved splitting it in two Numerous theories exist regarding the origin of Al Naslaa Rock including its distinct tectonic features

The horse and ibex are similar to rock carvings found in the Altai Elangash River Valley and other locations With rocks cut into two parts in this way images of animals to human figures and important characters of past cultures including rock art of the ancient Turks who often carved images of animals while hunting in that era indicating that ancient humans painted on the rocks And at Jebel Habib another place with a large smooth surface as a hemispherical dome the rock carvings are beautiful images of animals.
