The Sun Representation 

of Tutankhamun

Tutankhamun was born as a representation of the sun. Tutankhamun was born during the early period of the Agathean pharaonic religion of Egypt which revived the god Amun of Thebes. The tomb was quickly forgotten under later structures until it was destroyed during the decades of construction of the burial sites of his successors. Tutankhamun built several monuments partly to restore the city especially at Thebes and Karnak and dedicated temples to the god Amun. An inscription on the door of Tutankhamun's tomb states that he "spent his life making images of the gods". Powerful advisors Horemheb and Ay recorded that the king appointed him "king of the land" when he was nine or ten years old. Akhenaten and his relations with other kingdoms which Tutankhamun tried to restore relations with and trade with Egypt.

Early in his reign, he was persuaded to revive the religion and customs of Egypt from Akhenaten.

One of Tutankhamun's shields is placed under the bed in Tutankhamun's tomb. In front of the Sphinx Tutankhamun's shield bears the inscription "The mighty are like the sons of Nut the dangerous are like Montu, the destroyer of Thebes." A falcon is above the Sphinx's head and holds a ring "Chain." The falcon represents Montu and symbolizes eternity in the Sphinx's talons. The ancient Egyptian god of war was often depicted as a falcon swooping over the king in battle. The curve of Tutankhamun's shield, symbolizing the winged sun, represents the power of Horus of Behdet. Tutankhamun's appearance which resembles the Sphinx in the form of a warrior. 

The shield of Pharaoh Tutankhamun is supplemented by the figure of Pharaoh Tutankhamun carved in the form of a sphinx. The head of the sphinx of Pharaoh Tutankhamun is crowned with two crowns of Upper and Lower Egypt in the form of Nemes. The back of the shield is covered with beautiful calfskin. The lower edge of the shield has symbols of the "foreign lands" alternating with the symbols of the two conquered nations with black bodies like the Nubians. Howard Carter wrote about the shield found under the battle symbols on the body of the sphinx of Pharaoh Tutankhamun. The condition of the shield is due to its long service life.
